This policy explains what information this website collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you. It applies to Gower, Wooten & Darneille, LLC and this website. Questions can be directed to info@wootenfirm.com or (404) 800-3099.
When you submit a contact form or complete a case evaluation on this site, we collect the information you enter. Depending on the form, that may include your name, business name, phone number, email address, a general description of your tax situation, an approximate balance range, and which IRS notices you have received.
You choose what to submit. Please do not send account numbers, Social Security numbers, or copies of tax documents through a website form. If we need those to evaluate your matter, we will arrange a secure method.
Like most websites, this site automatically records certain technical information when you visit: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, time spent, and the search terms or advertisement that brought you here.
This site uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored by your browser that let a site recognize a returning visitor and measure how the site is used.
We use them for three purposes:
We use Google Analytics to measure site usage and Google Ads to advertise our legal services. These services use cookies and device identifiers to measure traffic and advertising performance. Google may combine this information with data it holds from your use of other sites and services.
We use Google Ads conversion tracking. When you arrive from an advertisement and later submit a form or click a phone number, a cookie allows Google to report that an inquiry occurred. We receive aggregate reporting on advertising performance. We do not receive your identity from Google through this process.
We may use remarketing (also called retargeting) through Google and similar advertising networks. If you visit this site without contacting us, you may later see our advertisements on other websites you visit. This is based on cookies and does not identify you to us personally. It does not mean we know who you are or that we are tracking you individually across the internet.
The telephone number shown on this site may be a tracking number that forwards to our office, allowing us to identify which advertisement or page produced a call. Calls may be recorded or monitored for quality and record-keeping. If you prefer not to be recorded, say so at the start of the call.
Form submissions are transmitted to us through a third-party form delivery service, which processes and forwards the submission to our email. That service retains submissions for a limited period as part of its normal operation.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share inquiry information with other law firms, lead brokers, marketing companies, or tax resolution companies.
We disclose information only to service providers who help operate this site and our practice — website hosting, email, form delivery, call tracking, and case management — and only as needed to perform those functions. We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, or the rules governing attorneys.
By submitting a form or calling us, you agree that we may contact you at the phone number and email address you provide, including by text message, regarding your inquiry. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text, clicking unsubscribe in an email, or telling us during a call. Opting out of marketing messages does not affect communications about an active matter.
Submitting a form, sending an email, or calling this office does not by itself create an attorney–client relationship. A relationship is established only when we have performed a conflicts check, agreed to represent you, and both parties have signed a written engagement agreement.
Until that happens, information you send may not be protected by attorney–client privilege. Please do not send confidential or sensitive details in an initial inquiry beyond what is needed for us to evaluate the matter. We treat all inquiries as confidential as a matter of firm practice, but confidentiality as a practice and privilege as a legal protection are not the same thing.
Nothing on this website is legal advice. Information here is general and may not apply to your circumstances. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No website or method of electronic transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain inquiry information for as long as needed to respond, to perform conflicts checks, and to meet the record-keeping obligations that apply to attorneys. Client files are retained according to applicable professional rules.
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask that inaccurate information be corrected, or ask that we delete information we are not required to retain. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
This site may link to other websites, including IRS resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any site we do not operate.
We may update this policy from time to time. The revision date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be posted here.
